Android 2.2 Froyo is being tested

The new Google Android 2.2 is now being tested by Google [GOOG] and it is planned to be launched during the Google I/O developer conference on May 19th and May 20th in San Francisco. The Google Android 2.2 OS will give us plenty of updated firmwares and features.

New interesting feature in the Android 2.2 OS is multi-coloured trackball notifications as well as the FM Radio enabled feature. By using the new Linux kernel 2.6.32 in Froyo, it is possible to have an extra RAM on the contrary to the previous 2.6.29 version. Touchscreen problems are also going to be fixed in the Android 2.2.

The OpenGL ES 2.0 is also provided for the developers As well as offering the above tweaks it is also reported that more access to will be provided to developers which allows the developers to access better graphics capabilities specifically on the Google Nexus One. Another features which is rumored will be embedded on the next gen of Android is Flash 10.1 support.

With the release, what vendor will adapt this Android 2.2 for the first time where many of vendors ready to launch their Android device including Motorola and HTC.
