Muscle computer control by Microsoft

Microsoft has just developed a new way to interact to computer named electromyography or EMG. EMG records the electrical activity of muscles and translates those signals into instruction sets which would control a computer. With this new technology, gaming will be easier and can directly move on with our own muscles means all will not be a passive thing anymore.

In the future, there are many purposes using this new technology including for military purpose. You can see at a lot of sci-fi movies which many soldiers use robot and control it through own hand – as you can see at Avatar Movie. It is possible; that sci-fi technology can be adapted to the real world using EMG technology.

The demo video above shows you a demo of this technology when practiced in Microsoft’s labs showcasing a Guitar Hero game based on EMG technology.
