QWERTY vs SWYPE

Most of us have been familiar to use QWERTY pad on our phone which can make us faster to type. Now we have Swype as a new way to type on the phone. We just need to move our finger across the keyboard and the system will predict the words you want to type on. Some feedback said that it’s faster when you use Swype.

QWERT vs SWYPE

This new system of typing has been adapted in Samsung Omnia II which is powered by Windows Mobile. It’s only working on Androids where it was developed with Android integrated. Nevertheless, the installer will not work with all Android handsets, it will only work with WVGA phones (Motorola DROID or Nexus One), it means if you use a Droid Eris or HTC Hero, you will need to wait until an official release that supports these phone models.

However, the problem, we think, will come to the surface for non-English language country where the system will not recognize the words. Either, when in some words have almost same characters, it will need more time to determine which words we prefer. With sensor recognizing, it also means only work in touchscreen phone, so it is true when we before predicted that 2010 will be a touch screen year instead of QWERTY era in 2009 has passed away.
